Irology The Eyes Tell a Story
In the 1950’s iridology became a popular alternative analytical tool in the United States. At this time Dr. Bernard Jenson created a chart that defined the location of each body system and organ reflected in the iris. This chart helped the diagnostic technique spread throughout the natural healing community.
Windows to Better Health
The eyes have long been called the windows to a person’s soul. A better analogy might be the eyes are the windows to a person’s well being. Iridologists can examine your irises and determine your current state of health, any diseases you may have, and in some instances predict future health problems.
The body is a system and learning to read the many signals it gives concerning the state of your health is one of the primary goals of natural or holistic medicine.
Ask for Directions
Iridologists consider the iris to be a virtual treasure map of health information. The map on the surface of the iris gives the alternative health practitioner directions for diagnosis. The quality and the tint of the iris are used in the analysis of health problems. Problems present themselves in many ways on the iris itself:
The presence of any of theses inconsistencies is noted and compared to the chart created by Dr. Jenson describing which areas of the iris correlate with which parts of the body or body systems. For example, a small fleck in the lower right corner of the iris, near the hour of six on a clock, would indicate a problem in the kidney area.
As mentioned before, iridologists use a diagnostic technique. If a problem is discovered using this diagnostic technique you will need to seek follow up treatment. Many alternative health practitioners who use eyes as an analytical tool also practice naturotherapy and will be able to help with many of the problems seen in the iris.
